California Prop 65 Warning:
Banjo, early 20s (pre-depression) STELLA. 17 fret Tenor. 30”
has a 11” head with a 12” outside dimension of resonator. New
geared tuners, new head jacks and strings. I have saved the old
friction tuners and jacks for authenticity for buyer. The head is
nearly new calf hide. Shiny side rings show some crustyness
and wood is great shape with no dings. Decals on head and back
of resonator are clearly legible and in good shape. Frets are flat
and in good shape. Neck is straight and there is no buzzing at
any of the fret positions. Bridge is newer. Banjo holds its tuning
well. A little research tells me Stella was purchased by Harmony
Then by Oscar Schmidt then Music USA (I think).
