Old Antique 1837 Vintage Real Nicolas Vuillaume French 4/4 Violin-Some Paperwork

When I bought this French Nicolas Vuillaume 4/4 violin it needed 00. of restoration work on the neck and scroll. That was completed by Don Lenker, and Master Violin Maker in Nipomo, Ca. He had to add a new neck and graft the original scroll to it. He did an excellent job. When I first played the violin, I couldn't stop playing it for an hour. The sound was so very rich, warm, with lovely overtones, great in the higher positions, a true solo violin with the power of a cannon!!! I sent this violin to one of the top experts in the USA, Christopher Reuning in Boston, to obtain an insurance appraisal. He declined but agreed the violin's top plate, ribs, and Back were made by Nicolas Vuillaume. (see attached letter in pix) The violin is signed by Nicolas Vuillaume near the top of the belly (see pix) The violin is a composite as the neck is new. The original varnish was stripped somewhere along the line. There are repaired cracks, including bass-bar, on the table (top) and on one rib. There are scuffs or scrapes one would expect for a violin of this age. The fancy expensive pegs match and work great. The strings are brand new and good, (a . Value)  There is fine grain spruce on the table with tasty flamed maple on the ribs, back, neck and scroll. I looked up the recent auction price for a Nicolas Vuillaume which was over ,000. Because this one has repairs, the neck replacement, and not the original varnish, Violin shops in the US might retail this violin for ,000 or more. Now You Can Own It For MUCH Less!!!
