    Description

    ANTIQUE VIOLIN ----- EDOARDO PIETRO GRULLY ca 1908 copy of HEAD ----- full size 4/4 measures 23-3/4", the upper bout is 6-5/8" , the lower bout is 8-1/4" and the back is 14-3/16".  Professionally set up and ready to play with Pro Arte strings, new ebony pegs, ebony and bone tail piece, hand cut fine tuned bridge and ebony Guarneri chin rest.  This violin has a well done repair to the edge of the upper bout, has a hairline forming on the top and the neck has been re-set, please see photos for details.  The violin is solid and has no loose seams.  The varnish has a little patina.  The peg box is perfect and the pegs turn smoothly and hold well.  The tone is very good, great projection and plenty of volume.
