This is a new pair of 2 standard size black nitride exhaust valves for Harley ironhead Sportster motors from 1957 through 1985.  Fits all
Harley models that use HD part #s 18080-58 or 18080-58A or 18033-80.
This generally includes
the models shown on the list below.
Consult your parts manual to confirm correct application. These valves came in a box of 4 and we are selling them by the pair so half of the orders we fill  will come in the original box and half won't. Your order may or may not include the box.  If you have any other questions, just let us know.

Tech note on black nitride valves
- Black nitride is a hardening treatment that increases the surface hardness of the valve yet it keeps good ductility beneath the hard nitrided layer, unlike stainless valves which are more brittle throughout. A
black nitride
surface finish is also smoother than chromed valve stems resulting in less friction between the valve stem and the guide which reduces galling.  It also makes the valve last longer with lead-free fuels and fuels that contain alcohol.  The black nitrided layer is adhered to a valve's base material at a microscopic level, so it can not flake or brake off. The black nitride coating is applied to the whole valve while traditional chrome coating is only applied to the stem.
